Of the nine players who made the final table, four of them are in the field early on Day 1A of the WPT Main Event. They are Richard Milne, Tobias Peters (pictured above), Fredrick Andersson and Dennis Bijen. We spoke to each of them to see how they feel about being back playing ante-less poker early on Day 1 of a tournament.
Richard Milne
“Starting stack; I’ve had two beers and done nothing! You’ve just got to grind it out for six hours and then see what happens.”
Tobias Peters
“I’m used to it. It’s sometimes good that you get to start over again in a new tournament.”
Fredrick Andersson
“It’s boring! In the beginning but its going so slowly. You do get a lot of chips to play about with at the start of tournaments, but the end of them are so exciting – because of the thrill!”
Dennis Bijen
“I was drinking tequila last night so its a good time to zone out! Its a little bit boring, but the dinner break is coming up. I just need some “fat food” and things will get better!”
