Wai Kit Ngai Leads the 44 Survivors on Day 1C of WPT500 Montreal

Day 1C of WPT500 Montreal has come to a conclusion with the field of 310 entries reduced to the final 44 players. Wai Kit Ngai (pictured) leads the way with 587,500.

Ngai chipped up in the later stages of the day when he picked up pocket aces, doubling through an opponent while eliminating another to take the chip lead. He lost it for a little while but retook it when play was on the money bubble.

Maxime Theroux busted shortly thereafter on the sixth hand of hand-for-hand play to become the bubble boy. Among those surviving into Day 2 Ubaid Habib, Brad Dumont, Bill Jennings and defending champion Miguel Goncalo.

Day 1D is playing down to its final 25, while Day 1F and Day 1G begin on Sunday, October 27, at 12 p.m (ET) and 5 p.m. (ET) respectively. There will also be a Day 1H (Turbo) flight kicking off at 10 p.m. (ET). Day 2 begins on Monday, October 28, at 1 p.m. (ET).
