Nearly 50 players started the day and the end of the late registration period boosted the field size to 111 entries thanks to 19 entrants at the very last minute. This has created a prize pool of $2,775,000 for the WPT Alpha 8 at Wynn Las Vegas and it will be up for grabs tomorrow, Thursday, December 19, 2024 as of noon local time.
After storming to the leaderboard prior to the final three tables in a period when he was dubbed “unbeatable” by others, Shannon Shorr bagged up the biggest stack ahead of Naj Ajez. They are the only two players above 50 big blinds.
