Phil Hellmuth continues his tradition of entering tournaments late, showing up this level to take his seat with 100,000 in chips.

The first hand after Hellmuth sits down, Randy Dorfman min-raises to 4,000, and Hellmuth reraises to 8,000. Dorfman calls. The flop comes [9h8c5c], Dorfman checks, Hellmuth bets 11,000, and Dorfman check-raises to 25,000. Hellmuth flashes his cards to Dorfman as he folds, and Dorfman shows one card — the [8d].

It was a quick hand, but it cost Hellmuth nearly 20% of his starting stack.

Phil Hellmuth  –  80,700
