Jesse Lonis' Stack Plumets Then Vanishes

Apr 2, 2024

One-time chip leader Jesse Lonis has seen his stack dwindle significantly since the last break and is now out of the tournament.

On a completed board of Spade 10Club 7Spade 5Club 3Diamond 6, Lonis bets 12,500 into a pot of about 35,000 from the big blind. Jean Souprayenmestry calls from early position and the cutoff takes some time before folding.

Lonis shows Diamond QClub 10 for a pair of tens, but Souprayenmestry shows Club 6Club 5 for a rivered two pair and the winner to drop Lonis’ stack below it’s starting point.

Lonis would be eliminated shortly after as he was seen walking toward the exit before the break started.

Jean Souprayenmestry – 185,000 (115 bb)
Jesse Lonis – eliminated
