Illankumaran Kandiah Spikes an Ace to Bust Daniel Ghionoiu in Massive Pot

Alexander Queen raises to 16,000 in middle position and Daniel Ghionoiu calls on the button. Illankumaran Kandiah then three-bets to 80,000 in the big blind and Queen folds, but Ghionoiu moves all in for 330,000 and Kandiah calls.

Ghionoiu shows down a pair of kings and is poised for a massive double up until the flop comes to give Kandiah top pair. “Oh, f**k off. There’s no way,” a frustrated Ghionoiu says as he shoots out of his seat.

The rest of the board runs out and Kandiah sends Ghionoiu to the rail, putting himself in contention for the chip lead.
