Lu Zhang raises to 525,000, and Sheraz Nasir calls.
Both players check to the turn on a board of J636, Nasir bets 500,000, Zhang moves all in for 1,750,000, and Nasir calls with 22 for an underpair.
Zhang turns over A2 for ace high, and she needs to improve to stay alive.
The river card is the 7, and Sheraz Nasir wins the pot — and the WPT title — with pocket deuces.
Lu Zhang finishes as the runner-up, earning CAD $166,402.
Sheraz Nasir wins the partypoker WPT Canadian Spring Championship, earning CAD $255,408. That amount includes his US $15,400 entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship. Nasir also wins a WPT Champions Trophy and a Playground Poker Club Champions Belt, and his name will be engraved on the one-and-only WPT Champions Cup, alongside all the other WPT champions from 13+ seasons.
