After three action-packed days of poker, the final opportunity for players to qualify for Day 2 of the €1,100 WPT Prime Paris Championship is today, October 26, with two starting flights taking place at Club Circus, Paris.
Day 1D takes place at noon local time and is expected to be the busiest flight yet. It will follow the same structure as previous flights, featuring 40-minute levels. Day 1E kicks off at 8 p.m. local time, and features 20-minute levels, but otherwise follows the same structure as previous flights.
Days 1A-1C drew fantastic numbers, with a total of 738 entries across the three flights, generating a current prize pool €779,520. Of those players, 93 have already qualified for Day 2, where all players will be in the money, with Paul Runcan leading the way after amassing a monstrous stack of 2,250,000 in Day 1C. He is followed by Day 1B chip leader Etienne Silva De Oliveira (1,752,000) and Karim Alleg (1,346,000).

Players will play 40-minute levels in Day 1D, commencing with a 50,000 starting stack, with blinds starting at 100/200, with a 200 big blind ante. Play will continue until the field is whittled down to 12.5% of the field. All players who find a bag for Day 2 will be in the money and will then return on October 27 for Day 2.
The registration for each Day 1 is open until the start of level ten and one re-entry is allowed per day. In this particular case according to French regulations, it means two entries are possible on each player’s first Day 1 of this tournament, and then one entry on the following days if needed.
Blinds will increase to 60-minute levels in Day 2, and will only be be reduced to 30 minutes each once the heads-up stage on the final day has been reached. There will be a redraw prior to Day 2, followed by the final three and two tables, as well as the nine-handed final table. Players will earn points for the 2024 WPT Player of the Year leaderboard and the winner also receives a $10,400 seat for the 2024 WPT World Championships at Wynn Las Vegas this upcoming December.
