Day 1D of $1,000,000 Guaranteed WPT Prime Cyprus Championship Kicks Off at Noon

With three starting flights already done and dusted, Day 1D of the WPT Prime Cyprus Championship is due to get underway here at Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa at noon today. Day 1D represents the penultimate opportunity for players to bag for Day 2, with the final flight, Day 1E, scheduled for 8 pm this evening.

Days 1A-1C attracted a total of 828 entries, and 105 players have already progressed to Day 2, with defending champion Tudor Purice among them. Kyprianos Kyprianou (1,286,000) leads the field at present after bagging over 30 starting stacks, and he is closely followed by Samer Sadaka (1,036,000) and Joseph Haddad (966,000). It is expected the $1,000,000 guarantee will be broken today.

Players will begin with a starting stack of 40,000, with blinds starting at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. Day 1D will feature 40-minute levels, while Day 1E is a turbo flight with 20-minute levels. Registration for each flight remains open with unlimited re-entries until the start of Level 10, with play concluding in each flight when 12.5% of the field remains.

All players who advance to Day 2 will be in the money, with blinds increasing to 60-minute levels. Play will continue on Day 2 until the final table of nine players is determined, who will then return for the final day.
