Chino Rheem Eliminated by Reigning Champion Thijs Menco

Apr 13, 2018

David "Chino" Rheem
Chino Rheem’s seat in the WPTDS Amsterdam Main Event was empty, but luckily for us Thijs Menco filled us in on what happened.

Menco raised to 400 from under the gun and got four callers including Chino Rheem in late position. The flop came X 10X 2X 4 and Menco continued for 2,100. Rheem was the only caller and the turn was a X J.

This time Menco checked and Rheem bet 5,100. Menco check-raised to 12,000 and Rheem called.

The river was a X 4 and Menco moved all in, covering Rheem who had around a pot-sized bet behind. Rheem called.

Menco showed X QX Q, beating the X QX J of Rheem. The defending champion is now up to 100,000 in chips, while three-time WPT champion Rheem is left to ponder a re-entry.
