With the board showing and a little more than 70,000 already in the pot, Aaron Mathis bets 20,000 from under the gun, and Grant Wang moves all in from the cutoff for about 150,000. Mathis goes into the tank.
After a while, Mathis apologizes to the table, saying, “Sorry, guys. This is going to take a second.”
Mathis begins quietly talking to himself, theorizing about what Wang could be holding, covering a wide range from a weak ace to a set.
Mathis asks himself out loud, “What am I supposed to do here?”
After a very long while, Mathis says, “I can’t fold this, so I guess I have to call.”
Mathis calls all in for about 115,000 with for a pair of kings with a king-high flush draw. But Wang turns over
for an ace-high flush, and Mathis is drawing dead.
The meaningless river card is the , and Wang wins the pot with his flush to eliminate Mathis from the tournament.
