$1,000,000 Guaranteed WPT Prime Cyprus Championship On the Horizon

After a massive stop in Cambodia in February to kick off 2025, the World Poker Tour has returned to the beautiful Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa for WPT Prime Cyprus. The festival is already well underway, with the crown jewel of the proceedings, the $1,100 WPT Prime Championship Event, set to begin today.

In the 2024 edition, Tudor Purice of Romania triumphed over a field of 1,202 players to claim the coveted trophy and the $183,270 first-place prize after a dominating final table performance.

The event features a huge $1,000,000 guarantee, with Day 1A, the first of five starting flights, kicking things off at noon local time. Players will begin with a starting stack of 40,000, with blinds starting at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. Days 1A, 1C, and 1D will feature 40-minute levels, while Days 1B and 1E are turbo flights with 20-minute levels. Registration for each flight remains open with unlimited re-entries until the start of Level 10, with play concluding in each flight when 12.5% of the field remains.

All players who advance to Day 2 will be in the money, with blinds increasing to 60-minute levels. Play will continue on Day 2 until the final table of nine players is determined, who will then return for the final day.
